Prairie View A&M University is rich in culture. Not only is PVAMU known for academic excellence, but it is home of the Marching Storm Band. Bands are the soul and spirit of HBCUs. Football games, basketball games, Homecoming, spring fest and many more make up the culture of Prairie View. Traditions such as Catfish Friday, Panther camp, Humpday, and Professional Dress Tuesdays allow students to make the most out of their college experience. PVAMU promotes scholastic excellence and produces the highest number of African American architects and Engineers.
